Interesting. I only notice those kind of things looking back after seeing the whole series. First half of the first season seems to be kind of experimental as if producers weren’t sure what they wanted yet (which is weird considering they planned this show for so many years). So many facts from first series were retconned later: Doof not being able to grow facial hair (compare to Unfair Science Fair, Hawaiian Vacation, Magic Carpet Ride, My fair goalie), Candace being allergic to diary (she eats cereals for breakfast in first series), Perry’s attachment to Doof (compare It’s about time to Oh there you are Perry), Doof dislike of cats (compare Spa Day and Christmas Vacation) and probably many others I don’t rember (pretty clear who’s my favourite character by now, huh). I really wish the show was more backward compatible at times. Obviously most kids won’t notice those mistakes, but still, just a bit more effort wouldn’t hurt.
(Is it weird I’m 23 and I can list those examples off the top of my head?).
